The sterling extender is about 2" long. The chain we used is a 3.2mm large open link sterling chain and you can hook your normal size clasp anywhere on this. We do not recommend hooking onto the heart link, the ring used is there to hold the charm onto the extender. Please be sure to hook your clasp onto the extender and not the charm. The charm is an enameled red heart set in sterling silver. This is very pretty.
